As we prepare for the summer session, we at CAYIP remain immensely grateful for the investors, believers, and doers who help make meaningful job opportunities possible for teens in our community. While the journey to finding the right summer job can feel uncertain at times, teens remain hopeful — and so do we!

Stay encouraged. The right opportunity will come at the right time. In the meantime, don’t forget to look within yourself and explore what you can create, build, and make happen.

We love seeing entrepreneurship and innovation highlighted in our youth!

And remember — site recruitment never truly ends, because our young people are always waiting for their next adventure, opportunity, and chance to grow.

This may be the worst summer for teen jobs in history.

Happy youth voice week!💡 Today we are highlighting our intern Eliza Hendrick who has been with us for 2 CAYIP sessions! Eliza worked at Rivanna summer camp and Pikasso Swig. She put in a lot of hard work AND was hired to stay on with Pikasso Swig after her last CAYIP session. We are so proud of you, Eliza! And a HUGE thanks to Jamie and the Pikasso Swig team for being such wonderful mentors and CAYIP partners! 🎨⭐️

And shoutout to ALL of our interns for being AWESOME! Each intern has such a unique experience where they are able to gain valuable skills! Our youth are the future, so keep shining, keep winning, and keep using your voice!📣

We are ALWAYS looking for site partners to come alongside us to support our youth. We are especially grateful to our local media partners who help us spread the word about this wonderful program. While they are unable to provide direct youth internship experiences, they still find a way to support programming and the impact is still great!
