Carpenter Hill Power Battery Energy Storage Project – Upcoming Public Meetings

The Town of Charlton would like to make residents aware of two upcoming public engagement opportunities being hosted by Carpenter Hill Power regarding its proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

These meetings are organized and conducted by Carpenter Hill Power and are intended to provide information about the project, answer questions, and gather community feedback. Residents with an interest in the proposed project are encouraged to participate.

Citizen Advisory Committee Meeting (Virtual)
Tuesday, August 4, 2026
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

The second Citizen Advisory Committee meeting will focus on the project's proposed Community Benefit Plan, discussion of local priorities, and responses to outstanding questions. Individuals who RSVP will receive the Zoom meeting link, call-in information, meeting agenda, and a brief pre-meeting assignment.

Fire Safety Webinar (Virtual)
Wednesday, August 19, 2026

Two sessions will be offered:

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The webinar is intended to provide information regarding fire safety considerations associated with the proposed battery energy storage project and offer an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

The Town of Charlton is sharing this information solely to increase public awareness of these opportunities for community engagement with the applicant. Questions regarding meeting registration, participation, or the project itself should be directed to Carpenter Hill Power.
