Thank you to those who attended our Town Meeting this year and to all for your patience as I strengthen my role as the newest Moderator for the Town of Charlton. I hope folks felt the meeting was fair, open and efficient.

I look forward to the Special Town Meeting this Fall (usually October). In the meantime, enjoy the Summer!

What makes a good moderator?

- The Moderator's role is to run a fair, efficient and effective town meeting, where all participants are fully informed of the matter at hand.

- Advocate for all voters and ensure everyone is given the same opportunity to be heard. Both sides of an issue must be open for dialogue so all voters can make an informed voting decision.

- The Moderator has no role in the outcome of the vote - this is the decision of the people.

- Striking a balance of giving opportunity for debate/discussion but also ensuring the meeting is kept on task and moving along. If the debate is repetition of previous discussion and/or not staying within the four points of the article, it is the moderator's job to keep this in check.

Hello Charlton Voters!

I want to take this opportunity connect with our community and remind you to vote at our upcoming Annual Town Election - THIS SATURDAY - MAY 2, 2026 - POLLS OPEN 8AM - 8PM at Heritage School. Sample ballot below.

While I am running unopposed for Town Moderator, I am creating this page for two reasons: 1. A location for residents to be able to connect with me. 2. The page will be used for future postings once I'm officially elected as Moderator this Saturday.
