One year ago today, Ryders Cove Respite began its journey as an Adult Supportive Day Program—and what a year it’s been.

From meaningful connections and new skills to moments of growth, joy, and community, this past year has been filled with purpose and possibility. 💙

As we look back on these memories, we’re deeply grateful to our participants, families, volunteers, and staff who made this milestone possible. Thank you for being part of our first year—we can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

💙Thank You, SHINE Counselors!💙

The Center for Active Living would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible volunteer SHINE counselors - Joanne Crowley, Pat Burke, and Ellenmarie Rhone (not pictured).

These dedicated volunteers showed up every single day during the Open Enrollment period, offering patience, expertise, and compassion to our community. Because of their commitment, 311 members of our community were seen, supported, and guided through the process of updating or ensuring their health insurance plans remained effective.

Their service makes a real difference in people’s lives, and we are so thankful for the time, care, and heart they give so selflessly.

Please join us in celebrating and thanking our SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) Counselors- you truly are shining examples of community service! ✨
