Resident Input Requested for Woodland Township OEM Animal Evacuation Assistance Program

Woodland Township OEM is preparing to launch a new public system to help us better plan for animal evacuations during emergencies.

This system will allow residents to provide information about large animals and livestock that may need evacuation assistance during an emergency. It will also allow residents who are willing to help to let us know about available transport capabilities, animal sheltering options, and other resources that may be available on their property.

Before this system goes live, we would like to hear from residents who may have valuable input, ideas, or experience with large animals, livestock, trailers, farms, shelters, or emergency animal care.

If you are a Woodland Township resident and would like to be involved in the planning and launch of this program, please reach out to us by sending a message to this page or by emailing Christopher Stopero, Emergency Management Coordinator, at [email protected].

We would like to schedule a meeting with interested residents to gather feedback and make sure this program is as useful and effective as possible for our community.

Thank you for helping Woodland Township OEM improve emergency preparedness for residents, farms, and animals throughout our community.
