Join us at Renaissance Park at 9:30 to practice some of the choreography, or come for the big dance at 10:00. Just make sure you stick around after the dance for our raffle and silent auction! We're raising money to support abortion patients and providers in other states.

Question: how much thought have you given towards your digital footprint? If the answer is not that much, it's time to start taking steps to protect your digital privacy. We live in a time when corporations can use our data to know more about our health than we do, and when bad actors can track our physical movements as well as our justice work. Learn about protecting your digital footprint and your privacy by attending this webinar on Thursday evening. It's free and by the Boston (MA) Public Library, but you do not need a Boston Public Library card to register.

This webinar will cover the ways that our digital lives—including app use, social media, purchases, GPS data, and more—expose information about our reproductive choices. Participants will learn how to map out their own personal risk profile and will leave with strategies to protect themselves, a...

🚨🚨 REMINDER! We are gathering tomorrow (7/25) at 6pm to protest Tennessee's trigger law. Although this law is not in effect yet, it was designed to automatically ban abortion in Tennessee 30 days after Roe v. Wade was overturned. Our fight is not over!!

We are planning to rally rain or shine, so come prepared for either. Whether or not it rains, we expect it to be HOT, so bring water! Keep an eye on our stories in case the weather forecast changes.

Don't forget to follow our safety tips:
1. What to wear: comfortable shoes, plain clothes, and a face covering. Plain clothes will make it harder for antis to track you, and a face covering is a must with Covid BA.5 raging.

2. What to do: bring water, turn off biometrics (face/fingerprint unlocks) and location services on your phone, and post pictures/videos after you leave the protest. While we do not expect a police presence at our rally, it's also a good idea to have the phone number for a bail fund or someone you trust written on your body.

3. What NOT to do: engage with counter protestors, use wire hanger images, or use handmaid imagery.
-Engaging with counter protestors increases the likelihood of danger for everyone at our events and does not help our cause.
-Wire hangers are triggering for many people at pro-abortion events, and they only encourage fear and increase stigma about abortions. This fear can prevent pregnant people from getting the healthcare they need in a timely manner. Self managed abortions are medically safe and do not involve wire hangers.
-Handmaid costumes, bonnets, and other images center white women's experiences with sexual and reproductive freedom. White patriarchy has abused people of color for centuries, and locked BIPOC out of making their own reproductive choices. The Handmaid's Tale tells a story of these same abuses being applied to white women. We ask that no one bring these images to CHAT events in order to decenter whiteness in our work and respect the reproductive justice work of BIPOC and NBPOC.

Although Tennessee's trigger ban will not go into effect until sometime in August, it was meant to start 30 days after Roe was overturned: July 25. We're holding a rally on 7/25 at 6pm in Miller Park to protest the ban.

Even though the ban is NOT in effect yet, nearly every abortion clinic in Tennessee has already closed it's doors. We demand access to abortion, birth control, and reproductive and gender affirming care!

This is not an easy post for us to make, but it is a necessary one.

CHAT is aware of a protest against the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. JWHO on Saturday evening in Coolidge Park and on the Walnut Street Bridge. This is not a CHAT event. We believe that meeting in Coolidge Park and marching across the Walnut Street Bridge during Pops on the River brings unnecessary risks, and we have discussed these concerns with the organizers of the event. They have chosen to continue with their plan despite our warnings about safety.

CHAT aims to always be as transparent as possible with our community. In keeping with our mission, our first concern is always the health and safety of our community. We hope their protest is safe and that no participants are harmed, but we at CHAT cannot condone or endorse this protest.
