Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau The APCB is a regulatory agency that enforces clean air regulations for Hamilton County, Tennessee. Burn permits are issued Oct. 1 - April 30 of each year.

The APCB is a regulatory agency for outdoor air pollution in Hamilton County, TN. Chattanooga was named the "Most Polluted City in America" in 1969. This resulted in the creation of the APCB and its continuous efforts to provide citizens a healthy community in which to live. We permit industry, renovations/demolitions, gas stations, dry cleaners, and burning. Industrial, gas station, and dry clean
