On Wednesday, some of our MRC volunteers met at the Southeast Regional office to assemble CARETag kits for Tennessee's Dementia Navigator Program.

The CARETag program helps families of older adults with dementia or disabilities prepare for emergencies by securely storing essential medical information for quick access by first responders.

We are thankful for the opportunity to learn from Amy French of the Bradley County Health Department and support this exciting new initiative!

MRC Training & Education Opportunity: Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Tuesday, January 20 | 2:00–3:00 p.m.

More than 150,000 Tennesseans age 65+ are living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia, supported by an estimated 386,000 unpaid caregivers. Join us to learn about the impact of dementia on individuals and communities, how to respond more effectively, and ways to reduce risk through improved brain health. The training will be led by Amy French, Dementia Navigator for the TN Department of Health Southeast Region, who brings over 20 years of experience in dementia care.

MRC Personal Preparedness Training - RESCHEDULED

We received word from Hamilton County EMA this morning that the weather threats will increase throughout the day and there is increased risk of flooding. In the interest of keeping our volunteers safe, we have opted to reschedule the training that was planned for today.
