What an amazing night! The Chattanooga Lookouts and Builtwell Bank put on a fantastic event for all of the Miracle Leagues in the area, and it was a blast! Events like this one remind us that the Miracle League, the Lookouts, even the major leagues, are not just baseball. They are community, camaraderie, and celebration. And we saw all of that in action last night. It’s easy to make assumptions when you’ve never experienced the Miracle League firsthand. But our players are so much more than what people often assume.

This carousel highlights just a few of the myths we hear versus the beautiful reality our players show us every single week. They are teammates. Competitors. Jokesters. Friends. They celebrate big wins, work through tough moments, and remind us that the love of the game belongs to everyone.

The more we replace assumptions with understanding, the more inclusive our
community becomes.

Think you need a 20-page résumé to be a Miracle League Buddy?
Not even close. 😉
The most important qualifications are a smile, a willingness to hand out high fives, cheer like every player just hit a home run, and never pass up a good dugout dance party!
Of course, there are a few real responsibilities, too. Buddies help keep players safe, encourage them to do as much as they can on their own, and help create a fun, positive experience for every athlete and their family. But don’t worry, we’ll make sure you’re prepared before you ever step onto the field.
So if you’ve got a big heart and an hour or two to make someone’s day, we’d love to have you on the team.
No experience required.
Just show up ready to cheer!
