Chattanooga Mayor's Council for Women Values: Respect, Inclusion, Equity, and Equality Our three committees — empowerment, health, and justice — meet monthly.

Mission: To effect policies that create positive change for women in Chattanooga
Vision: Every woman in Chattanooga will have the opportunity to live her best life. The Chattanooga Mayor's Council for Women, established in 2015, works to break down the barriers that prevent too many women in our community from living the life they want to live. We also host a luncheon on a quarterly basis and a wo

men's policy conference each February. All Mayor's Council for Women meetings are open invitation, and newcomers are always welcome. Meeting schedule:

* Justice Committee - 1st Wednesday of every month - 11:30-1:00 at the Family Justice Center (5705 Uptain Rd, Chattanooga TN)

* Health Committee - 1st Friday of every month - 11:30-1:00 at the Family Justice Center (5705 Uptain Rd, Chattanooga TN)

* Empowerment Committee - 3rd Thursday of every month - 11:30-1:00 at the Family Justice Center (5705 Uptain Rd, Chattanooga TN)

NOTE: Committee meetings are only canceled if the scheduled date falls on an official City of Chattanooga holiday.

Some friendships are built through shared experiences, some through laughter, and others through a deep commitment to something bigger than ourselves. At this year’s Statewide Women’s Policy Conference, we honored the legacy of Dr. Carol Berz with the reading of "Do It Anyway" by Mother Teresa, a poem that perfectly embodies her fearless leadership, unwavering kindness, and dedication to lifting others up.

This moment was a powerful reminder that the work we do - advocating, empowering, and creating change - isn’t always easy. But we do it anyway. And we do it together.

It's been a couple of weeks since the conference, but we're still feeling inspired by the energy and insights. From powerful keynotes to engaging discussions, this year's event was one to remember!
