💜 SEPTEMBER IS HYDROCEPHALUS AWARENESS MONTH 💜

At the Boehm Birth Defects Center, this month is especially meaningful to us because we have the privilege of caring for children and families affected by hydrocephalus and spina bifida.

Hydrocephalus is a neurological condition that occurs when an abnormal amount of cerebrospinal fluid builds up in or around the brain, creating harmful pressure. It can affect people of all ages, including newborns and children.

Our team is dedicated to supporting children with birth defects and neurological conditions and helping their families navigate the challenges that come along with them. We are honored to be part of their journey and to provide care, resources, and support to the families we serve.

Boehm Center Families in TN - Applications are now open for grant funding through The Tennessee Family Support Program. Funding is available for eligible applicants of all ages and income levels. Services covered include respite, home modifications, special equipment, health related needs, daycare, and summer camps.
