THIS WEDNESDAY, May 13 @ 4:30pm: Put your creativity, speed, and teamwork to the test in the Great Chauncey Scavenger Hunt. Teams of up to four will head out into to take pictures of people, places, and things, and prizes will be awarded based on thoroughness and efficiency. Bring a digital camera or a phone that can take pictures!

Dear Village Residents,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of one of our own Chauncey/Dover firemen. Our community has lost a devoted volunteer firefighter who served faithfully for 34 years. His commitment, courage, and willingness to answer the call—no matter the time or circumstance—made a lasting impact on our village and the people who call it home.
He was not only a dedicated firefighter, but also a good friend to many throughout the community. His kindness, presence, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In recognition of his years of selfless service, The Village Hall flag will be striped as a sign of mourning, respect and remembrance.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife Sheila, family, friends, and fellow firefighters during this difficult time. His legacy of service and friendship will not be forgotten.
Please keep his loved ones in your thoughts as we come together to honor his life.

I will begin the memories sharing with saying all of my children loved getting to play with Rich at the fire department. He loved playing with kids and spending time with them. I remember years ago he would tell us when his nephew Phillip was coming over to stay and how excited he would be.
