On August 22, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Heather Ann Thompson will discuss her book "Fear and Fury: The Reagan Eighties, the Bernie Goetz Shootings, and the Rebirth of White Rage." On August 25, Allison Hopper will present recent scientific findings about the importance of play and laughter.

On August 15, Jonathan Deutsch, Ph.D., of Drexel University, will speak about how research chefs work with physicians, food scientists, urban planners, and dietitians to ensure an equitable and sustainable food system. On August 18, Paul Scheeler will dive into Chautauqua history, telling the story of the couple who owned the Golding Cottage Hotel, which was constructed c.1877-78 and demolished in 1968, and replaced with the Carnahan-Jackson Memorial Garden.
