Many of you have asked about hurricane Ida damage. I can begin to tell you how bad it was and still is. Still giant piles of debris and hundred of roofs gone. Our new house lost the sheet metal roof, a lot of siding and water damage inside. Even tho we haven't had any guests down for duck hunting or fishing in years my sons and I tried a little hunting in the bad. NO Ducks! Worst we've ever seen it. The mobile home many of stayed in had been sold by a family up the bayou. It was totally demolished. On a very sad note, Timmy Price died of a heart attack Monday afternoon. At least we were doing one of his favorite things, cleaning fish. Funeral is tomorrow. We will all miss him severally.

Opening duck season 2020:. Mike and Jen Barrett, along with their son Alex, our friends from VA enjoyed opening weekend of duck season. Our son Jeremy drove down from Lubbock to join us. The guys had two fantastic days in the blinds. Mike took enough duck home to feed Waynesboro. We also enjoyed salty oysters and Timmy's duck jambalaya and sticky duck. We sure missed Larry and Dick who had to cancel out. Weather is perfect. Come on down.

Another busy and successful week. Jim V spent a week after attending Travis and Tara's wedding helping me build storage unit under new house. Couldn't have done it without him. Plus he got a chance to join us in the last weekend of Teal season. Deadeye Jim.

Well rumor has it, the Reds are biting. Chief Guide, Capt Timmy says just head to deep pipelines. He's been catching his limit in the last few weeks. A couple of friends of the PDC are coming down next week. Willie from Vicksburg, MS and Jim V from OR. Hope to find some of those Reds Timmy mentioned. Also should have some good oysters.

It was another fast and furious Mardi Gras. Tonly Rosenberger and his whole family came down for the first week. They rented the yellow house across the bayou and used the new PDC pontoon Asa water taxi. As I had a serious detached retina and just had surgery, Lois drove us down. Unfortunately I was pretty much out of action and couldn't do much with everybody. on arrival we were greeted with about every pipe burst from a big freeze. Timmy and Tony came down and got us a temporary connection to the back bathroom. Then my son, Jeremy drove all night long from Lubbock arriving Saturday morning to replumb the whole place with PEX, not pvc. On Saturday we all enjoyed cousin Ronald's rodeo and Chauvin parade. on Sunday everybody but me went to the Houma parades. That evening we had a Super Bowl party down at Ronald's LLMAP. Tony got to enjoy some great fishing with Timmy. I think they limited each time. On Tuesday we all enjoyed a shrimp/crab boil Timmy did to celebrate Lois' birthday. Finally we had to head back to Texas for the next of many eye appointments. We sure missed staying for the second MG week. Oh well, time to go back! Y'all come!

Thank Goodness it is oyster season again. Duck season has been fantastic! Fishing pretty good. Parties down at Ronalds still fun. We bought a new 23 ft pontoon boat oat for boozecruises. Nice! Remolding kitchen. Looking great. Looking forward to Christmas, New Years, and then Mardi Gras! Come on down.
