Cheboygan Residents: Help Us Get the Lead Out!

The City of Cheboygan Water Department has partnered with the EPA's Get the Lead Out (GLO) Initiative to identify the material of water service lines throughout our community.

📅 July 27–30, City Water Department staff and GLO Technical Assistance Providers will be visiting neighborhoods to conduct FREE in-home water service line identifications.

✅ The inspection is free
✅ Takes only 2–5 minutes
✅ Staff will check where your water service line enters your home (typically in the basement, crawlspace, or utility closet)
✅ Staff will be wearing fluorescent utility vests and GLO badges with their names

💧 Want to learn more or sign up in person?
Visit us at the Cheboygan Farmers Market on Friday, July 25, from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM! We'll be there to:
• Answer your questions
• Help you identify your water service line
• Schedule a FREE in-home identification appointment

If you'd rather identify your service line yourself, you can complete the Water Service Line Self-Identification Survey by scanning the QR code in the attached graphics.
