Cheektowaga Police see success in mental health expert, police partnership

We are proud to be the first in the growing partnership with Endeavor Health Services in the creation of having a Behavioral Specialist working with local law enforcement. We are excited to see the formation of a Behavior Health Team in Buffalo Police Department and wish them all the support and success that we have experienced.

Last year, Assistant Chief Brian Gould had an idea that would transform the Cheektowaga Police Department. He created the Police Behavioral Health Response Program with the help of Endeavor Health Services.

Cheektowaga Police SWAT Team

Ordinarily our SWAT team runs our local tunnels to towers 5K as a unit. Unfortunately, it has been canceled for the year like many other things. Our intent is to have our SWAT team members run from our police station to a local 911 memorial that is six miles away and back. Our goal is to raise the amount of money that is usually generated by ticket sales for the Cheektowaga based event that was cancelled.

We are so excited to be spearheading this event! Getting 10 agencies to participate with us shows how important our communities are to each of your local law enforcement agencies! 🚔 🦆 💙

Town of Tonawanda Police came to visit Losson Park and we got to show Lt. Milosich the Duck Dropper in action! We are loving the positive feedback from the community on the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt!!! Keep sharing your pictures with us! Good luck! #LuckyDuckPd

It’s LUCKY DUCK SCAVENGER HUNT time!! We are so happy to announce 10 agencies participating this year!! Here is the list of agencies and the parks that will have ducks!
Some agencies need a couple more days to get their ducks in a row! As soon as they are ready we will notify the public on this site!! So far Cheektowaga Police, Town of Tonwanda Police and Orchard Park Police are ready!!!

Cheektowaga Police Department - Losson Park (10 ducks on Hummingbird Hollow & 10 ducks on Timber Trail & 10 through the driving path in the park)

Town of Tonawanda Police Department - 10 ducks at Sheridan Park & 10 ducks at Lincoln Park

Orchard Park Police Department - 15 ducks at Green Lake (Yates Park)

Village of Kenmore Police Department - 10 ducks at Mang Park

Town of Lancaster Police Department - 12 ducks at Heritage Trail & 8 ducks in Westwood Park

Lackawanna Police Department - 12 ducks in Galanti Park

Depew Police Department- 12 at Fireman’s Park

Some participating agencies are offering prizes for finding their Lucky Duck! The Lucky Duck will have that agencies patch and the Lucky Duck symbol hanging off of it! If you find it, take a picture of it and submit it to the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt FaceBook page via Facebook Messenger! You will be put in for a random drawing at the end of the month. Each agency that is offering prizes is different and will be up to the discretion of the departments. You are not limited to one town! Do them all for more chances to win!! The agencies offering prizes are Cheektowaga Police, Town of Tonawanda Police, Orchard Park Police, Village of Kenmore Police, Lancaster Police, Depew Police and Transit Authority!

All the agencies have exchanged ducks with each other so make sure to look for the different police departments in each of the parks!

We really wanted to do something for our communities during these difficult times! All that we ask is PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH OR TAKE THE DUCKS!! Some ducks have gone missing already and we won’t have enough replacements to get us through the event.

We would love to see your pictures and hints for the tricky ducks on here!!! #luckyduckpd
GOOD LUCK!
