🌤️ Ah yes… nothing says “fun in Lewis County” quite like opening a weather briefing and seeing Chehalis and Packwood directly called out. 😅

When the National Weather Service starts specifically mentioning Lewis County, you know things are about to get interesting…

🔥 Upper 80s possible?
🔥 Moderate HeatRisk?
🔥 Elevated fire danger?

Just your typical “welcome to spring” in Lewis County.

From the west side to the east hills and everywhere in between — it’s shaping up to be a warm one, folks. Stay hydrated, keep an eye on conditions, and remember:

The air may be hot… but our rivers and lakes are still dangerously cold.

Because in Lewis County, we don’t just do weather… we do all the weather. 😎🌡️

Hey Lewis County, we know it’s been a minute, but Mother Nature said, “Welcome to summer!” ☀️🔥

The National Weather Service is calling for warmer weather the next several days, with Sunday to be the warmest day of the year so far, with much of Lewis County potentially reaching the upper 80s. Yep … upper 80s. In early May. So if it feels like summer showed up early, you’re not imagining it.

But before you grab the floaties, sunscreen, and head for the nearest river:

🌊 The air may be HOT, but our waters are still COLD.

While the sunshine may tempt you to dive right in, snowmelt-fed rivers and lakes are still running fast and frigid. Cold water shock is real, and it can happen quickly, even on the hottest days.

So as you enjoy this surprise summer preview:
🦺 Wear a life jacket
👀 Watch kiddos and pets closely near water
🥶 Dress for water temp, not air temp
⚠️ Know the signs of cold water shock

Soak up the sunshine, enjoy the heat, but don’t let cold water catch you off guard. Stay safe, Lewis County, and welcome to fake summer!
