We take pride in providing public safety in our 125 square mile District. IAFF Local 4816 is the sole bargaining unit representing the Firefighter/EMTs employed by Chelan Fire and Rescue. We are located in the heart of Lake Chelan out of Station 71 located at 232 East Wapato Ave. Local 4816 serves the city of Chelan and Chelan County Fire Protection District 7. Currently Local 4816 works a 48/96

work schedule with three shifts "A, B, C".Minimum staffing levels are one Fire officer-EMT and one Firefighter-EMT. Our district is 125 Square miles in size. Lake Chelan is 55 miles long, 1 mile wide at its widest point and 1100 FT at its deepest point. We are bordered by CCFPD5, CCFPD8, DCFPD4 and OCFPD15. All of our bordering departments are represented by all volunteer staff. Currently we have automatic aid agreements with all of our bordering fire districts.

Our Story

IAFF Local 4816 is the sole bargaining unit representing the Firefighter/EMTs employed by Chelan Fire and Rescue. We are located in the heart of Lake Chelan operating out of Station 71 located at 232 East Wapato Ave. Local 4816 serves the city of Chelan and Chelan County Fire Protection District 7. Currently Local 4816 works a 48/96 work schedule with three shifts "A, B, C". We currently have 12 Career Personnel; 4 on each shift. 6 of these members are funded on a 2 year SAFER Grant. Our goal is to keep these members on at the end of that 2 year term in order to provide Chelan with the safest and most efficient service possible. Our district is 125 Square miles in size. Lake Chelan is 55 miles long, 1 mile wide at its widest point, and 1100 feet at its deepest point. We are bordered by CCFPD5, CCFPD8, DCFPD4 and OCFPD15. All of our bordering departments are represented by all volunteer staff. Currently we have automatic and mutual aid agreements with all of our bordering fire districts.
