PRESS RELEASE: Seven Acres Foundation Names Kyla Allen Executive Director of Lake Chelan Community Center

A lifelong resident of the Chelan Valley, Allen grew up on a local apple orchard and has deep roots in the community. She has also served on regional nonprofit boards, including the North Central Education Foundation and Chelan Valley Hope.

The kids and staff of the Lake Chelan Valley Boys & Girls Club surprised Martha and Mercedes by covering their door with handmade thank-you notes. What a beautiful reminder that even the smallest words of gratitude can make a big impact!

Summer updates → Wayfinding signs, gym construction, and a new magnetic wall for kids!

New wayfinding signs have now been installed throughout the Lake Chelan Community Center!

Clear, consistent signs help first-time visitors find programs and meeting spaces with greater confidence, help returning patrons move through the building more efficiently, and support a more comfortable experience for people of all ages and abilities.

The installation marks an important step toward making The Community Center as navigable and user-friendly as possible. It also reflects the kind of place we want to be: accessible, intuitive, and ready to welcome everyone who walks through the doors.

The next time you visit, take a look around and follow the new signs. We hope they make your experience easier and help the whole building feel a little more like home.

The free Kids Play Area at the Lake Chelan Community Center just got even more fun!

We’ve added a MagWiz Magnet Board—a hands-on magnetic play experience that encourages creativity while building STEM skills, fine motor development, problem-solving, and sensory engagement.
