Unfortunately we picked up a deceased cat this morning. Male, gray tabby, found in the area 100 section of Boston Rd in Chelmsford. If this may be your cat please contact Animal Control at 978-256-0754.

Found or Temporarily Held Domestic Animals

If you find a domesticated animal, you should contact the Animal Control Officer (ACO) to report that you have located or are temporarily holding the animal.

If an animal is found outside of the ACO’s normal hours of operation, you may bring the animal to the Police Station or the Lowell Humane Society, where it can be scanned for a microchip to assist with identifying and locating the owner.

Please be advised that failure to notify the ACO when temporarily holding a found animal may result in fines or other penalties pursuant to M.G.L. c. 272, § 85A.
