Lukas and Mike visited the library from Vienna, Austria today! Lukas was taking a walk down the memory lane of our bookshelves as he lived in Chelsea 18 years ago while on exchange as a student at the Chelsea High School. Mike, his father, is in the middle of a years long effort to sail around the world and the father/son pair took a jaunt on land to see Chelsea after all these years.

You can subscribe to her substack FREE and follow along for daily prompts that suit your goals and lifestyles......and then don't forget to come to the library to get a fresh stack of books

It's not everyday we get visitors from out of town and certainly not everyday we get a local Vermont celebrity in the library. A delight to welcome Joel Najman of VPR's My Place and his wife Betsey Lawrence into the library.

The Booker Prize Long list is out and a HUGE congratulations to local author Makenna Goodman for her book "Helen of Nowhere" nominated for the prestigious prize. Come into the library to read this title and several others that made the list!

Also among the 13 works up for the British literary award are the latest books from Douglas Stuart, Gwendoline Riley and Emma Cline.

Thank you to all the kids who have joined our summer reading program so far this year! If you need a copy of the bingo sheet come by the library! Its never to late to join our summer reading ! Prizes for rows completed given out at the end of the summer!

Week of June 29th: The library will be OPEN Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11-5pm.

​We will be closed Friday and Saturday in observance of July 4th.

The Library unexpectedly had to extend its closure due to necessary electrical work.

We expect to be open again next week when all work has been done. I'll update the community with specifics when I have them.

A reminder, the library is scheduled to close for the holiday on July 3rd and 4th.

The library will open again for normally scheduled hours beginning July 7th.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work with problems beyond our control.
