Rain or Shine, thank you to the City of Chelsea Massachusetts- Gov for inviting the Chelsea Police Department to the Annual Memorial Day event. It was an honor to have our Honor Guard participate every year.

This Memorial Day, the Chelsea Police Department remembers and honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

We are grateful for their courage, their selflessness, and the freedoms their sacrifice helped protect.

Today, we also keep their families and loved ones in our thoughts as we reflect on the true meaning of this day. May we never forget those who gave all.

The Chelsea Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Albert Acevedo as he moves on to the next chapter of his law enforcement career with a federal agency.

Officer Acevedo began his service with the Chelsea Police Department in November 2022 and has served our community with professionalism, dedication, and pride. His commitment to public safety and his work alongside the men and women of this department have been greatly appreciated.

As he begins his new role with the federal agency, we wish him continued success, safety, and growth in his federal law enforcement career.

Congratulations, Officer Acevedo, and thank you for your service to the City of Chelsea. You will always have a home here at the Chelsea PD!

The Chelsea Police Department recognizes the incredible work of several officers this past weekend. Officers responded to two separate incidents involving individuals attempting to harm themselves. Both individuals were armed with edged weapons.

In both situations, officers used a calm and compassionate demeanor, worked closely with family members on scene, and safely resolved two highly volatile situations without further injury. Both individuals were transported to the hospital to receive the care and support they needed.

Chief Houghton stated:

“I am extremely proud of the professionalism, patience, and compassion our officers demonstrated during these difficult incidents. Their ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively with family members helped bring two dangerous situations to a peaceful resolution. This is an example of policing at its very best — protecting life while treating every person with dignity and respect.

Get ready for the excitement of watching the beautiful game on the world stage at Fiesta Fútbol, Chelsea's watch parties on the big-screen this summer!

​Beginning June 11, Chelsea Square will be transformed into a vibrant outdoor gathering space for the World Fútbol tournament. Visitors can expect an outdoor large-screen viewing experience, local food vendors, music, and community programming that reflects the energetic cultures and traditions of the city’s diverse community.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to come to downtown Chelsea to enjoy our soccer viewing parties, explore local restaurants, check out our free cultural programming, and support our small businesses. Dates for viewing parties will be announced in mid-May.

CHELSEA was happy to attend the Malden Kiwanis Interclub event at Giggles Comedy Club!

CHELSEA, also a Kiwanian, joined fellow Kiwanians for a fundraising event! The comedians were hilarious and pizza 🍕 sure was yummy! 😋

Chelsea even met Sopranos actor Frank Santorini (Georgie the bartender on the show) and got a photo op!
