🏅 What an Amazing Day for Chelsea! 🏅

Take a look at this incredible video from today’s Alabama State Games Track & Field competition at Chelsea High School! With more than 1,200 registered athletes competing and families traveling from across Alabama, our community has been buzzing with excitement all day long.

We are honored to host a portion of the Alabama State Games and showcase the outstanding facilities, volunteers, school staff, and community spirit that make Chelsea such a special place.

As you’re out and about this weekend, be sure to give our visitors a warm Chelsea welcome. Whether they’re competing, coaching, volunteering, or cheering from the stands, we’re grateful they chose to spend part of their weekend in our city.

A huge thank you to Chelsea High School, the Alabama State Games organizers, volunteers, city staff, public safety personnel, and everyone working behind the scenes to make this event a success.

🥚 EGGS! Yes, we have fresh farm eggs today! 🥚 and FARM ANTIQUES!!!

And what an AMAZING morning it has been so far at the Chelsea Farmers Market! The lawn is full of shoppers, smiling faces, and some truly incredible vendors.

If you haven’t made it out yet, there is still plenty of time to come see us!

🫖 A new tea vendor
🍪 Delicious stuffed cookies, banana pudding cookies, Biscoff cookies, and other baked treats

We have several new vendors with us this week, and they have brought some fantastic products to share with the Chelsea community.

On Saturday, June 13, Chelsea will welcome more than 1,200 athletes and their families as we host Track & Field events for the 2026 Alabama State Games at Chelsea High School.

CHHS needs approximately 30 volunteers to help make the day a success! Whether you're a student needing service hours, a civic group member, a parent, or simply someone who loves supporting the community, we'd love to have your help.

Volunteer shifts are available throughout the day, making it easy to help even if you only have a few hours to give.

The Alabama State Games is Alabama's largest annual multi-sport event, bringing together athletes from across the state to compete, connect, and celebrate sportsmanship.

Chelsea is hosting:
🏃 Track & Field – June 13 – Chelsea High School Football Stadium
🎀 Baton Twirling & Color Guard – June 13 – Chelsea High School Gymnasium
⚾ Baseball Tournaments – June 13-14 – Chelsea Sports Complex & CHHS Baseball Field

Mark your calendars and plan a little extra travel time! Saturday, June 13, is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most exciting days of the summer in Chelsea.

🏃 Hallelujah Hustle 5K Fun Run
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. from Chelsea Church of God

🌽 Chelsea Farmer's Market
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Chelsea City Hall Lawn

🏅 Alabama State Games
Hosted at Chelsea High School and Chelsea Sports Complex, featuring Track & Field, Baseball, Baton Twirling, and Color Guard competitions. More than 1,200 athletes are expected to participate in Track & Field alone!

We are proud to welcome competitors, families, volunteers, vendors, and visitors from across Alabama to our community. Please be mindful of increased traffic around Chelsea High School, Chelsea Sports Complex, Highway 39, County Road 337, Highway 47, and the City Hall area throughout the day.

If you're out and about, give yourself a little extra time, watch for pedestrians, and help us show our guests the hospitality that makes Chelsea such a special place.

It's going to be a fantastic day filled with community spirit, local shopping, athletics, and family fun. We can't wait to see everyone out enjoying Chelsea!
