Chelsea Public Library is hiring a Library Director!

This is a great opportunity to be part of something meaningful right here in our community. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, values learning, and wants to help our library continue to grow and serve Chelsea.

Part-time hours: 19–22 per week.
$18 per hour.
IPERS included.
Paid holidays and vacation.

Hard at work creating our ponds!

Today we read the story “Over And Under The Pond By: Kate Messner with art by Christopher Silas Neal”

Our activity is creating our own vision of what is near a pond, or a lake.. Flowers, animals, trees, anything their minds thought went they would put on.

Last week 4-H was at the library for the afterschool program.

They read a story, did a hands on activity of the fox chasing the bunny (Like hot potato), and then the kids made their own brown paper sack rabbits.

Theme: Forest
Book: It’s a surprise
Activity: Create your own animal/forest collage. We will use magazines & scissors & glue to make the collages.

Snack is provided along with a drink.
