🎆🧨FIREWORKS🧨🎆
Folks, we are just as excited as you are to celebrate the 4th of July, HOWEVER, the Town of Chelsea only allows you to shoot off fireworks inside city limits from July 2nd - July 5th from 12pm-11pm. Please keep this in mind as we have received numerous calls regarding the fireworks in town. We are aware and working on putting a stop to it.
Please follow the laws, be careful, and keep all fingers and toes this year!

UPDATE

The sirens will not be tested and the work does not hinder their performance or have a need to test! Sirens are back to normal operation!

The Town of Chelsea will be working on storm sirens today, 6/23/26. If they go off, please do not be alarmed, it is just for testing.

📍 Positions Available:
• (1) Full-Time Police Officer
• Reserve Police Officers

Full-Time Officer:
• Prior certification preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to work 40 hours per week
• Varied schedules

Reserve Officer:
• Volunteer position supporting full-time officers and special community projects
• Prior certification preferred but not required

Minimum Requirements for All Positions:
✔ Must be at least 21 years of age and a U.S. Citizen
✔ High school diploma or equivalent (additional education/training preferred)
✔ CLEET Certification preferred; if not certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
✔ Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a good driving record
✔ Excellent physical condition
✔ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to pass a thorough background investigation
✔ Must have or be able to pass the MMPI
✔ Must have or be able to pass the POSSE Exam
✔ No felony convictions
✔ No domestic violence convictions
✔ Good moral character

Harps is doing a fundraiser for the Chelsea Police Department and the Chelsea Fire Department and yall already know our Chief’s like a little friendly competition 😎
From June 1st-28th, they are accepting donations at the cash register and all proceeds will go towards our departments who protect and serve the community. This Saturday 6/6/26 from 10-2, you can stop by and see our officers, say hi, let the kiddos get a picture with their favorite officers and make a donation if you can! If you can’t, please at least share this post to spread the word.

I’m just saying… blue is a way better color than red… 🤷🏼‍♀️ donate to the blue side 🤪

The Chelsea Police Department would like to thank everyone that attended Coffee with a Cop this morning at our local bakery. We had great conversations, yummy breakfast, hot coffee and a great time!

Update!!! *Owner found. Thank you everyone!*

Our officers received a call this morning about a dog on the East side of town near 1st and Willow. He does not have a microchip so we are looking for this sweet boys owner. He is now at the shelter. If you know who this baby belongs to, please give us a call. 918-789-3533.
