Bolton, Jones, Robert Haines' Heidelberg & Cheltenham Nursery Bolton, Jones & Haines were Quaker owners. In 1850 Rbt Haines bought & established Cheltenham Cheltenham Nursery was here.

This Quaker property was one of the oldest extant houses in Pennsylvania, and probably the only remaining 2-story example of a stone house built according to the William Penn Plan in the Philadelphia area. elt women were happier working outdoors and committed her life to developing education and career opportunities for women. She co-founded the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women in 1912, now Temple Ambler campus, and the Woman's National Farm & Garden Association in 1914. WNF&GA will celebrate its 100th Centennial Meeting at Temple Ambler campus in May 2014.
