The National Fraternal Order of Police regrets to report that as of midnight on 31 August, there have been 215 officers shot in the line of duty in 2026. Of those officers shot, 20 of them were killed.

Five years ago today the ultimate price was paid at HKIA in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26th, 2021.

Congratulations

WCO Luke Walter has been named the NASBLA Boating Officer of the Year!

Walter, whose district includes western Erie County, performed 47 days of boat patrols and conducted over 350 boat boardings in an effort to promote compliance with safety regulations.

Walter also participated in Operation Stonegarden, a U.S. Border Patrol program aimed towards enhancing maritime and shoreline patrols along Lake Erie. Walters conducted targeted patrols within Presque Isle Bay and PFBC's Walnut Creek Access.
