The park features 29 miles of asphalt roads and parking areas; a park office; 2 marinas; 223 reservable electrical hookup sites with water; over 400 primitive camp sites; 4 trailer dump stations; 6 boat ramps with 22 launching lanes; 4 courtesy docks; 2 fish cleaning stations; 7 modern pit toilets; 9 shower houses; 1 shelter with restrooms; 2 large group shelters; 2 medium group shelters; 29 small

picnic shelters; a large shelter and a restroom; 3 nature trails including a 5 mile bicycle/walking trail; and 12 modern cabins: 9 on the west side of the lake and 3 on the east side of the lake.

🏕️Office Hours Update!🏕️

After this holiday weekend our office will go back to Monday-Fridays 8am-4:30pm!

So make sure you stop by this weekend for vehicle permits, or to register your watercraft’s!

**Office hours may vary from the week of September 14- September 25th as we also work the State Fair Cabin, at the Kansas State Fair. **

It’s that time of the year!!!!

Our yearly OK Kids Day Event will be September 26th from 4pm-6pm at the Ninnescah Sailing Association on the West Shore!!

This is a FREE event for all family’s to bring their kiddos out to enjoy an evening of fun in the great outdoors!

We will provide a free hotdog dinner, with chips and water, various outdoor activities for family’s to enjoy, and a free raffle for the kids to win some prizes!

We hope to see everyone come out and have a fun evening at the lake!

Update for my campers!🤩

-M&M Point Campground is BACK open!! We thank everyone for their patience in the clean up!

Also as friendly reminders, please do not park in the grass or on any beaches! We are experiencing a lot of people parking right behind our no vehicles off road signs.🤪 This can cause ruts and make it very hard for our workers and volunteers to mow when tires have done damage to the grounds.

And to my boaters please remember you cannot pull boats into designated swim beaches! These areas are for swimming only. Some of our buoys are needing pulled back as the water levels have changed so much over these past few weeks, and our game wardens are working to fix these. But these areas are exclusively used for swimming only. Boaters need to stay clear at least 200ft of designated swim beaches. This can be a major safety issue to swimmers, so please be cautious!

We want to keep the park a safe place for all to enjoy! We hope everyone has a great week and come out to enjoy the weather while it’s not 1,000 degrees!😄🌊

🤠Update on Camp Ground Closures!!!🤠

On Friday July 17th, Heimerman Point, Wichita Point, and Hobie Beach campgrounds will open back up!!
We will remove the barricades the morning of Friday the 17th.

M&M is remaining closed, and we will keep everyone updated on M&M as time progresses!

We are excited to have our campers come out to enjoy the campgrounds again! Please call us with any questions or if you’d like to check availability! 316-542-3664 😊🤩

Update on closed campgrounds!

Heimerman Point, M&M, Wichita Point, and Hobie Beach will remained closed throughout the weekend as water levels will not drop down enough for us to be able to open them! We are hopeful, if we don’t get anymore rain, we might be able to start opening some campgrounds next weekend!
We started making calls and leaving voicemails yesterday to those of you that have reservations in these closed campgrounds this weekend!

Howdy campers!🤠
We are currently waiting on the expected water release schedule to dictate this weekends reservation impacts! We were told we should receive some information tomorrow afternoon so once we receive that update we will share the news for this weekends reservations regarding the closed campgrounds!

🎇Update for the holiday weekend🎇

Our water level is still high, at 3.88ft over conservation. Campgrounds Heimerman Point, M&M, Wichita Point, & Hobie Beach are still closed for this holiday weekend!

There are barricades at the closed campgrounds entrances, please DO NOT go around any barricades! They are blocked off for a reason.

No fireworks are allowed at the state park of any kind!

All Boat ramps are still open, aside from the one at Hobie Beach!

We are not under any warnings or watches for blue green algae, the water is safe for swimming!

We will reevaluate the lake levels on Monday for next weeks camping reservations, and contact those who have bookings in closed campgrounds once we see how the lake levels are looking!

🌊Update on campground closures due to high water levels!🌊

East side: (Closed)
-Heimerman Point
-M&M
-Wichita Point

West side: (Closed)
-Hobie Beach

These campgrounds are currently closed and will remain closed throughout this weekend! We’ve been on the phone all day moving all reservations for this weekend and we are currently out of avalible sites! If you have a booking for this weekend, we might’ve left you a message, please just give us a call and we can assist you.
We have currently only moved this upcoming weekends reservations, we will wait to see how the levels are looking and will keep you informed about future weekend bookings and closures closer to those times.
We have placed barriers at the roadways to all closed campgrounds and please ask that no one drives around them, even with UTVs.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding in these unforeseen circumstances and we will continue to keep you updated on campgrounds as the days progress!

Heimerman point campground is now being evacuated due to rising lake levels. This campground will be closed until further notice.
