picnic shelters; a large shelter and a restroom; 3 nature trails including a 5 mile bicycle/walking trail; and 12 modern cabins: 9 on the west side of the lake and 3 on the east side of the lake.

✨Hi Campers!✨
I wanted to post an update on the Heimerman Point restroom/shower house. It is still closed due to the severity of the damage, and is unfortunately looking like it will be closed for the foreseeable future! We are actively trying to workout a solution to get it fixed as soon as we can and we will continue to keep you posted!

We're looking for a cabin host at Cheney State Park!!
Job would be a trade for service, (free site for the summer season) and the job would include cleaning the cabins, mowing around the cabins, and assisting campers with any questions they may have.

Attention Campers!!
Unfortunately we are needing repairs in a sewer line which has resulted in Heimerman Point bathroom/shower house to be closed. The issue is major so the restrooms/shower house will unfortunately not be open this weekend.
The closest restrooms would be M&M or the restroom next to the O’Briens marina.

If you have a reservation and would like to move it to another campground or another weekend feel free to call us at the park office and we can assist you. 316-542-3664

With Memorial Weekend starting today we just wanted to share some helpful information regarding the weekend and availability!

We have 1 Cabin left for this weekend (Cabin #1, The Heron, sleeps 6) please call our office if interested in booking it!

We only have primitive sites remaining (non-utility) and they are now walkup for the weekend. Walkup just means first come first serve, you have to be out here the same day you'd like to start your stay to verify the site it empty, as our system doesn't account for self pay users. Once finding an empty site, with no reservation tag please call our office or stop by to ensure it's available and to pay for your nights. (Self Pay is only good for one night, if you wish to stay more that one night please book with the office).

You do need a vehicle permit when camping or just visiting for the day, which you can buy at the office, or from a gate host when they are working (gate workers only sell daily's, for annuals see the office). Daily's are $5 per day, per vehicle. Annuals are $25 per vehicle, we do offer senior and disability discounts for state residents on the Annuals.

Howdy Campers! Sorry for the multiple cabin album posts, didn’t mean to “blow up” anyone’s feed!🤣
We wanted to make sure everyone had the ability to see our cabins and their layouts! We have 12 cabins at Cheney State Park, that sleep 4-10 people depending on the cabin itself!
We’ve had to update the amenities that are offered in the cabins to align with state lodging standards which included the removal of dishes/cutlery and coffee pots. But we still have many great amenities in the cabins such as heating/air, a fridge, microwave, toaster, and full restrooms! Cabins 1,9,10,11, & 12 even have a stove/oven. And they all have wonderful views of the lake!
