Today, Eastern Washington University is closed in observance of Juneteenth.

We join in commemorating this important day in our nation's history—a celebration of Black freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.

As members of the Eagle community, we honor the contributions and achievements of Black alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members who continue to shape Eastern and inspire future generations.

Together, we remain committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable community for all Eagles. Today, we encourage our alumni family to learn, reflect, and continue building a stronger future—together.
