Jefferson County Fire & EMS provides fire suppression, emergency medical transportation, and assistance. Also providing fire prevention, public education, and a thriving student program. In April 2022, JC Fire and EMS began providing 24/7 staffing at the Madras station resulting in decreased response

times, and improved protection and emergency services to our community. This bond will be instrumental in maintaining and improving the essential services this organization provides our community, as well as protecting the health and safety of our first responders. Jefferson County Fire & EMS has a Permanent Tax Rate of $1.18. This is significantly less than departments of comparable size in Oregon.
