We are incredibly proud to announce that Long Middle School’s Beta Club has been recognized as both a National Beta School of Distinction and a School of Merit. These honors reflect the hard work, leadership, academic excellence, and dedication our Betas have shown throughout the school year. Our students have represented Long Middle with pride and have truly demonstrated what it means to lead through service and achievement. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our teachers, parents, and families for their constant support, encouragement, and guidance. This accomplishment would not have been possible without the teamwork and commitment of our entire school community.

*Supplies within the art program have been mostly funded through our Arts in Basic Curriculum Certification through the ABC Institute. ABC Institute is an Arts Grow SC collective network partner. ABC Institute is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Artsonia is a gallery of student art portfolios where young artists (grades PK-12) display their art worldwide. We have a vibrant community of art teachers who also share their ideas and lesson plans.

Current 7th and 8th grade Beta Club members from Long Middle School had an End of Year Celebration today. Beta members visited the newly renovated Rock N Roll Skating Rink and enjoyed a lunch at Chic Fil A. This was a great way to fellowship together and celebrate their special achievements from this past school year. Beta Club members we are very proud of you and know you all have a bright future ahead of you♥️💙♥️

As an opportunity to socialize and enjoy a break from the classroom atmosphere as the school year comes to a close, Coach Bo, Mrs. Ingram, and Mrs. Sellers walked the students to China Town Buffet in Cheraw, SC. Although the students definitely sweated out their hoodies during the walk, they enjoyed every plate of food and had a great time together.

Summer Reading is an Adventure! How many sea creatures can you encounter on this summer's Ocean Reading Adventure? Visit a sea creature and complete its reading activity to add it to your visit log. Complete three activities for a reward when we return to school in July. Complete more than three for a bonus prize! Happy Summer Reading!
