For those using East Lakeshore Dr around Lake Cherokee, the posted speed limit is 15 mph.

These speed limit signs are posted at each end of this route.

I understand that this route may be convenient for many during the road construction down to but please be mindful of the speed limit!

I have been and will continue to be up and down this route often and if your flying down the road, be prepared to be stopped.

I would venture to say that if vehicles where speeding excessively on your street, you would want Law Enforcement to slow them down.

Personally, I've witnessed cars and trucks in excess of 30 mph, that's DOUBLE the speed limit.

Again, posted speed limit is 15 mph, not 25 and certainly not 35.

I will be trying to be on this street as much as possible and hope it will help.

Folks if you do not need to get out stay home stay home several cars are already in the ditch tow trucks are not getting out tonight I repeat tow trucks will not come out tonight so if you end up in a ditch you're stuck until they can get to you.

We're are under a winter storm advisory until 6:00 p.m. Monday

Prayers that everyone has a safe and Blessed Thanksgiving!

Please remember, if you are deep frying that bird, shut off the fuel before putting it in the fryer so if it spills over, there is no flame to ignite the grease! Let it down into the grease SLOWLY, Once the bird is in and if any grease did spill over, remember to make sure it is cleaned before lighting the flame again.

Make sure NOT to operate fryer on a deck or under any part of the house and overhangs.

3 to 4 min per pound then allow to sit for 20 min prior to carving the enjoy with friends and family!

Got to work with CV PD on the 4th and enjoyed it.

Would like to thank Chief Lane for letting me help on the 4th. Gave me a chance to get to know some of the officers a little more and meet and talk with so many folks that came to watch the show.

I've also been getting out a bit more doing some patrolling and will be doing some more. Hopefully I can stop, get out and talk to residents so y'all can get to know me as well as for me to meet you.

I've got my new, well, new to me, light bar and waiting on my new siren/light control system to get it all installed on the Hummer which will finish up everything I needed, I hope.

Thanks to my wonderful wife for holding down the fort while I do this, she's such a keeper!

I am finished with my required training for everything now.... just finished up with my ACIC/NCIC today.

installed and got my new digital radio in the Hummer, got it programed Monday evening.

Ready to patrol!

I was in Camden (AR State LEO Academy) finishing up my certification.

It's is done!

I'm now waiting on ACIC then there's a few more State classes I hope to be attending if my super awesome, supportive wife who has been holding down the fort, doesn't mind to much me being gone a couple more times. I OWE her BIG time!

Been working on getting my new radio installed, other two I had does not work with the system County is switching to.

Y'all should start seeing me out in my Hummer H2 so don't flip out if you happen to see me cruising by your place a few times :-). If you out sitting in the porch, I may just stop and say howdy, see how things have been around your neck of the woods and maybe just to get to know y'all and you me.

If you have issues, please don't hesitate to reach out, I'll be more than happy to make a presence in the neighborhood.

Cherokee Village Neighborhood Watch Kick off Gathering/Meeting.

Don't forget tomorrow! Neighborhood Watch Kick off and Hotdogs.

Just checked on forecast for tomorrow, Sunny but cool.
Details are in the "Events" section of this group but here it is as well,

When: Saturday, April 1st
Time: 4:30 PM to 5:45 PM or until everyone is gone.
Where: 30 Warpath Dr. (tan metal building across the street from Lake Thunderbird Marina)

bring a lawn chair and enjoy friends, neighbors and hotdogs.

Dr. George Jackson (Constable Dist. 2) and I (Constable Dist. 3) will be answering any questions and doing our best to set up groups/neighborhoods to get this rolling.

Please help get the word out and bring your neighbors!
