Alfalfa County Sheriff’s Department is looking to Hire Deputy Sheriff…
Cleet preferred , but if not CLEET certified, the candidates must be able to pass the physical and training requirements, Cleet requires. Salary starts at $3060 per month with a raise upon completion of Cleet and a six month probationary period.
Candidate must be 21 years or older ,  and a high school diploma or GED required. The candidate must be willing to relocate within Alfalfa County within 30 days of hire.
Benefits include health, dental vision, life insurance, and retirement, beginning the first day of the month following the hire date ..80 hours of vacation leave after one year of service, eight hours of sick leave earn per month ,eight hours of holiday leave earned if on call for that holiday.

UPDATE #3: 3-24-23 @ 1200.
We just received great news…Mena has been located and has been taken into custody.

UPDATE #2: A vehicle was stolen from the Alva area. We can confirm the Inmate is no longer in the Alva area.

UPDATE: We have received several requests for an update. At this time DOC is not sharing any information concerning the investigation. Any further requests should be directed to DOC.

There is an escapee from the BJCC. Please make sure your doors are locked and keys out of your vehicles. We will keep you advised as we receive more information.
