Mrs Lowe's First Grade had a lot of fun in August!
- We read “Alma and the Worry Stone” and each student got to use air dry clay to create their own worry stone.
- We read “Our Class is a Family” and created self portraits to hang in our classroom as well as a list of promises for our year.
- We read “Those Shoes” and students designed their own shoe after learning the difference in wants and needs.
-We have enjoyed popsicles as special Friday treats with this HOT August weather.

We want to make parents aware of a social media trend involving the “Cat in the Hat” character that is currently circulating on TikTok, Snapchat, and other social media platforms.

Some of this content includes altered or AI-generated images and videos that portray the character in threatening or disturbing situations. In some cases, posts have included the names of schools, students, or communities.

While much of this content appears to be fake or intended as a disturbing online trend, some posts have crossed the line into threats or intimidation. Law enforcement agencies and school officials across the country are taking these reports seriously.

We encourage parents to talk with their children about what they are seeing online and to report any concerning content or threats to the appropriate authorities and school officials.
