On Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 the WCU Leadership Tour stopped by the Anthony Edward Lossiah Justice Center to visit with the Tribal Court personnel. Rosie R. McCoy and Clerk of Court Teresa Keffer provided a tour to the attendees. The attendees met several staff throughout the facility who gave hands-on information about daily operations. Participants gained a clearer understanding of the distinctions between Tribal and State Court processes, enhancing their awareness of the unique legal framework within the region. The experience highlighted opportunities for the collaboration between the Justice Center and the University, particularly through student engagement initiatives such as internships and job placement. Valuable professional connections were established, and the EBCI Tribal Court looks forward to this opportunity for continued growth and engagement.
