The Cherokee Area Economic Development Corporation's (CAEDC) mission is to retain and attract business, agriculture and residents to Cherokee County, Iowa.

We strive to ensure our existing businesses prosper and new businesses receive all the advantages a Objectives:
- Through effective communication, promote Cherokee County, Iowa and its communities as a viable resource for industrial development and family living
- Enhance the quality of life for our residents to ensure the stability of our communities
- Aid in economic growth by working with the e

xpansion of existing business and industry
- Stay in constant communication with existing businesses to serve as a facilitator and community liaison for their business needs
- Recruit additional businesses to the county using financial assistance and incentives from federal, state, regional, local and private sources
- Offer customized workforce training programs to enhance our readily strong, available workforce

We had another successful Ag and Industry Tour. Thank you to Lopez Foods, the Cherokee County Regional Airport, Cherokee County Conservation (Licklider Shooting Range), Wilcox Dairy Farm, and Hy-Vee Distribution Center for hosting us. We always learn a lot at each stop. A big thank you to Cherokee State Bank for sponsoring the meal, and Mary Bierman for preparing it. Thank you to the Cherokee Community School District for providing our transportation! Also, thank you to the fantastic tour participants. See you in 2027 😁
