Today marked Bestwork employee Herlina Bintoro’s retirement after 14 years of dedicated service at Bestwork.

Everyone came together for her Honor Walk to celebrate her career and thank her for her contributions.

Meet the Team!

It's time for this week's and today, we'd like to introduce you to Eugene Baroni — a dedicated member of our packing line. Eugene joined Bestwork in April 2026 and is currently packing clothing for the Army.

When asked what he loves about working at Bestwork, Eugene's answer was simple and heartfelt: he's grateful for the chance to work, and he really loves that he's doing something for the military.

Outside of work, Eugene enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie — a fellow Bestwork employee you met last week — and their guide dog, Hans. He's also an avid bowler who hits the lanes frequently, and he loves reading and traveling. Next month, Eugene, Stephanie, and Hans are heading to Las Vegas to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

Our Blindness & Low Vision Service Center is offering no-cost vision screenings for adults — and the next session is coming up soon.

Whether it's been years since your last screening, you've noticed changes, or you've never had one — this is a simple, important step for your eye health.

Meet the Team!

This week's shines on Stephanie Algarin, a dedicated member of our Navy Fleece line. Stephanie joined Bestwork in April 2026 and runs the bar tacking machine, sewing zippers for the jacket pockets.

Stephanie has found a real home at Bestwork. When asked what she loves about working here, she shared: "I really like the people I work with, and love how much everyone helps everyone. I also like that my work is important."

Off the clock, Stephanie is a busy woman. She's an avid shopper — Amazon packages are a regular fixture on her front step — and loves going out with friends. She also enjoys time with her husband, who's also a Bestwork employee, and their dog, Hans (who you'll meet in a few weeks!). And she's a traveler at heart: next month she's off to Las Vegas with her husband to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

Bestwork recently welcomed members from DLA Troop Support Offices of Internal review and Small Business. It was most of our visitors' first visit to an AbilityOne Non-Profit Agency or a 'Cut-and-Sew' facility.

They came to learn more about the AbilityOne Program and gain insight on things like how we ensure items on the Federal Procurement List are prioritized when fulfilling government requirements, any supply chain constraints that impact our ability to meet demand, what challenges we face when working with Contracting Officers, and how both organizations can support one another.

Meet the Team!

This week's shines on Tanya Taylor — a dedicated member of our Mock Tee line. Since joining Bestwork in November 2025, she's become a vital part of the team, folding collars and cuffs with care.

Tanya lost her vision 5 years ago, and she says working here is the first time she's been around others who are blind or visually impaired. "I love working at Bestwork because of the people," she shares.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys time with her husband, 3 children, and 3 grandbabies — plus shopping and cleaning!
