Thank you to SJ Magazine for highlighting Camden County’s ongoing work to break the stigma surrounding addiction.

Our “Breaking the Stigma” event brought together community leaders, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, educators, advocates and families for an important conversation about how we can better support those struggling with substance use disorder and those on the road to recovery.

Stigma can keep people from asking for help. By continuing to educate, listen and work together, we can help change that.

The new $22 million supportive housing center at Lakeland will provide individuals with the stability, resources and support they need to move forward and build healthier, more independent lives.

Last night, I had the pleasure of joining residents, families, and community leaders for National Night Out events in Collingswood and Camden City.

National Night Out is a great reminder that strong communities are built through partnership, trust, and engagement. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make these events such a success.

I also want to recognize the dedicated law enforcement officers throughout Camden County who work every day to keep our communities safe. Their commitment to public service helps strengthen the neighborhoods we are proud to call home.

Camden County Day of Kindness was created to honor the life and legacy of Samantha “Sammy” Goldsmith.

Sammy was known for her kind heart and her ability to make everyone she met feel seen, valued, and loved. Eight years ago, her family experienced an unimaginable loss. But through their heartbreak, her family turned their pain into purpose.

Samantha’s story reminds us that although she may be gone, the impact of her kind heart will live on forever.
