As we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation this Memorial Day, the Cherry Valley Police Department extends its deepest gratitude and remembrance to all who served and gave their lives in defense of our freedoms.

Thank you to Rigo and the team at Texas Roadhouse for the mid-afternoon treats as we head into Memorial Day weekend. Your generosity and support are truly appreciated and gave Cherry Valley personnel a great boost to finish the week strong.

Our office will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

If you have a non-emergency situation that requires assistance from a Cherry Valley Police Department officer, please call the Winnebago Dispatch Center at (815) 282-2600.

Good morning all! This week is the 2026 National Police Week. Our local law enforcement officers from all over the Northern Illinois Area will be representing their departments/agencies at Cherryvale Mall from Friday through Sunday. Come out and see your local police officers, squad cars & ask some questions.

This week, the Cherry Valley Police Department joins law enforcement agencies across the nation in recognizing National Police Week.

National Police Week is a time to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and to recognize the dedication and service of officers who continue to protect and serve our communities each day.

We are grateful for the support of our community and proudly stand beside the officers, dispatchers, staff, and families who serve with commitment, courage, and compassion. Please take a moment this week to remember those we have lost and thank those who continue to wear the badge.

Don’t forget to stop by and pick up your blue light bulb to help support the Blue Light Campaign and show your support for law enforcement during National Police Week. 💙
