The City of Cherryville and the Cherryville Ministerial Association will host a 9/11 Memorial Service to remember and honor the 25th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. This ceremony will be held at the Cherryville Fire Department at 9:00 AM on September 11, 2026. God Bless all of our First Responders and God Bless the USA!!

At approximately 0715 this morning, Ladder 73 responded to assist station 70 with a large barn fire. We are grateful for the opportunity to assist our neighboring communities!

At approximately 1:15 pm on August 13, 2026 Cherryville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire. Caller stated smoke and fire were visible from an exterior window. Engine 73 quickly responded and initiated a working fire upon arriving. The fire was contained within 10 minutes of arrival. Many thanks to our automatic aid agencies for their assistance.

🍎🔥 BACK TO SCHOOL IN CHERRYVILLE! 🔥📚

The Cherryville Fire Department had the pleasure of visiting all of our Cherryville schools and meeting with each school’s principal as everyone prepares for another great school year!

Our schools are a huge part of what makes Cherryville such a special community. We appreciate the teachers, administrators, faculty, and staff who work hard every day to educate, encourage, and protect our students.

To all of our students and educators: we hope you have a safe, successful, and wonderful school year! Work hard, look out for one another, make some great memories, and make Cherryville proud! 🚒📚

As the school year gets underway, we also remind everyone to slow down in school zones, watch for children and school buses, and help us keep our students safe.

Reminder to all of our citizens how important it is to contact 911 for emergencies. Even when you may think your situation isn’t an emergency please contact 911 to allow trained professionals to sort the level of service needed. Contacting 911 will provide you the quickest and proper service.

July was a slightly busier month for your Fire Department. In this month’s edition of our monthly incident breakdown, we have added Turnout Time, Response Time, and Simultaneous Incidents. Turnout Time is the time it takes for your firefighters to make it to the apparatus and be on the road. Response Time is how long it takes to make it to the incident. Simultaneous Incidents show the number of times more than one incident occurred at the exact same time. We are very grateful to serve such a wonderful City and Community!
