Unfortunately, the Little Library was vandalized and the door was ripped off. Many of the books were wet and will need to be replaced. Working on repairing the library this weekend. Will keep you posted.

Thank you for visiting the Taylor Bend Little Free Library! You may be asking yourself, how does the library work? Let us tell you!
This Little Free Library offers a way to share good things to read—favorite books from your childhood or books you would recommend to friends; books that teach, intrigue and engage you. All of us can help by keeping this collection stocked with good reading material.
Whose Library is this? It belongs to everybody—neighbors, friends, and people we don’t even know yet. Anyone can use it. That’s why we want to take care of it.
Take a book. If you see something you’d like to read, take it. You don’t have to give a book at the same time as you take one.
Share a book. After you’ve read it, share it in any Little Free Library book-sharing box, bring it back here, or pass it on to a friend. Be a friend of all libraries, big and small. Share books whenever you can.
This particular library was brought to life by local Girl Scout Troop 519. We wanted to share with you our love of books and learning. We wanted to provide a place for anyone of all ages to come and get a book. We also wanted to reach out to our community to pass on book etiquette that we learned at our local library and schools. To help keep books going for future generations, please keep in mind:
Always use a bookmark to keep your place. Anything larger may damage the spine of the book. Bending corners to keep your place can damage the pages.
Always use caution when eating and drinking around books.
Board books are best for little kids, they are much more durable.
Never write in a book unless it is yours
Treat books with respect, they contain stories, knowledge, pictures, and history.
If you discover that this Little Library is low on book donations or is in need of repair, please check our library out on FaceBook at the: Taylor Bend YMCA Little Free Library. Our site will be monitored to keep up with the library.
