Good morning! I know summer break is almost over but I still thought it would be a good time to start and continue through the 1st month of school. Maybe it will help with homework. 😁 The bingo cards are inside an envelope in the little library. There will be a grand prize for the 1st to fill their bingo card and another prize for the 1st to get bingo. There will be other prizes along the way. Please post pictures here on the page so we can see & join in the fun! Once your child gets bingo and/or fills the card send a DM with pics to the page.

Question for adults: We have a set of series novels. Let me know if you're interested. We will put the 1st one in and as you finish put the next one and so on. That way multiple people can start at different times.

Hello Everyone! So sorry I have been M.I.A. but I have been super busy trying to keep up with this crazy real estate market!

Anyway, I am organizing the Summer Reading Program and looking for input. I would like to do one for the kids & adults. Are there adults that would want to participate? There will be prizes.

Here are a couple of templates I found. I think the bingo one would do better for the little kids. The other one I could make with less boxes?

Open to any and all suggestions. I am trying to have it all ready to go July 4th weekend. I have a list of books I will be ordering as well.

Thank you, Betsy Kahl Kessler for your donation! Dropped off some books today. Some romance novels and other adult books as well as children's books, including a book about the 🦷 tooth fairy. 😁 There's also a book with crockpot recipes!! If you're into journaling,, there is a brand new journal I placed in there...the one on the bottom facing out. First come, first served. Enjoy!

Hey everyone! If you missed the treats yesterday, don't worry, I have plenty. If you PM your address I will drop them off on Thursday. I will also be adding some fresh books! I will try to give you more of heads up the next time I do something like this. My goal is to do something once a month and I am working on a summer reading program for the kids with prizes. Any and all ideas/help are welcomed!

About the Elder Avenue Little Lending Library

The Elder Avenue Little Lending Library exists to support the Norfolk Highlands community by building kinship amongst neighbors. Created April 2020, the lending Library is conveniently located on the 1500 block of Elder Avenue... I’m sure you’ll see it once you walk, bike ride, skateboard, run, dog-walk, or drive by!

Come take a book (or 2) that catches your eye, drop off books to share with other readers, or stop by to take a photo with the library box and tag this page. Sometimes the "box" will have coloring sheets, stickers, little treats for kids and adults or even a warm scarf snuggled with the books for a neighbor to take when its cold.... all for FREE!

Feel free to drop me a message if you have any special book category requests, tips, suggestions, or if you just want to say hello! I’m going to make a considerable effort to keep the library decorated, organized and stocked... but i’d love a pleasant message if you notice anything in disarray, too.

I have lived in Norfolk Highlands for 4 years (time flies!!!) ... and I love the neighborhood and wanted to help grow the charm and neighborly atmosphere.
