Yesterday was - a reminder that for many families, the search never ends. Norfolk continues to seek information regarding the parental kidnapping of Amina and Belel Kandil from James City County, VA.
Amina and Belel were last seen on August 30, 2014, in the company of their father, Ahmed Abdallah Taha Kandil, leaving the United States on a flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport, in New York, bound for Boryspil, Ukraine, and then Ataturk, Turkey.
Anyone with information about the location of Amina and Belel Kandil is asked to contact the FBI Norfolk field office at (757) 455-0100.

In recognition of National Senior Fraud Awareness Day on May 15, the FBI Norfolk Field Office is reminding older Americans, their families, and caregivers to remain vigilant against scams that disproportionately target seniors.
“Scammers are relentless in their efforts to exploit older Americans, often using fear, urgency, and manipulation to steal hard-earned savings,” said Dominique Evans, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Norfolk Field Office. "We encourage families to have open conversations about fraud awareness and to report suspicious activity immediately.”

Chesapeake man sentenced to 17 years in prison after traveling to the Philippines multiple times to sexually abuse a minor.
Thanks to the rapid coordination between FBI - Norfolk, FBI - Denver, the Denver Police Department, and our federal partners, Dylan Knauer was safely apprehended and removed from an aircraft before departing on another international flight.
