COMMCOM has dispatched response teams from Chesapeake, VA, In anticipation of Hurricane Milton ๐ŸŒช๏ธ. Our Deployable Contingency Communications team will support Coast Guardโ€™s Seventh District by deploying advanced communication technology ๐Ÿ“ก. including our Enhanced Mobile Incident Command Post (EMICP), Mobile Communications Vehicle (MCV), and Rescue-21 Disaster Recovery System. These assets will facilitate seamless communication and coordination during post storm operations, such as Search and Rescue ๐Ÿ›Ÿ and Marine Environmental Protection ๐ŸŒŠ.

Last week, U.S Coast Guard service members from Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) and Communications Command traveled to Milwaukee to work with local and federal partners during the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Our Deployable and Contingency Communications (DCC) team deployed 9 members to set up the Enhanced Mobile Incident Command Post (eMICP) and Mobile Communications Vehicle (MCV). These assets provided as a command post and supported communications for MSRT, Sector Lake Michigan, Milwaukee Police Department (MPD), Milwaukee Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the U.S Secret Service.

Congratulations to IT2 Adrian Lugo!

IT2 was selected as Communication Command's 2023 Enlisted Person of the Year for his exemplary performance, both in technical expertise and mentorship, making a profound impact on the unit's success and mission readiness. While deployed for Storm Force, IT2 single-handedly led a group of 16 members in field testing equipment, ensuring asset readiness and orchestrating the pack out of mission-critical gear. IT2 also worked tirelessly during off duty hours to address a critical issue on the Enhanced Mobile Incident Command Post ensuring it was ready to deliver rapid, reliable, and secure capabilities.

Congratulations to the Ricci family.

IT2 Vincent Ricci was selected as Communication Command's Enlisted Person of the Quarter for his knowledge and skills in executing his duties as a Deployable Contingency Communications Team lead, Technician and Enhanced Mobile Incident Command Post driver. In addition to his duties, IT2 Ricci volunteered in the community serving as a mentor at Moyock Elementary School and participating in the 44th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Basketball Tournament.

Alexis Ricci received a letter of appreciation for her work as Communication Command's Ombudsman. Mrs. Ricci provides a vital role in supporting military families by being the bridge between families and the command leadership by providing essential resources, updates, support, and guidance on navigating military life.
