Camp Fury Chesapeake Camp Fury Chesapeake provides realistic firefighting, police, and emergency services activities and leadership training for girls in a 5 day camp setting.

The Chesapeake Fire Department, the Chesapeake Police Department, Norfolk Fire Rescue, and the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast have collaborated to provide realistic firefighting and emergency services activities and training for girls at the first annual Camp Fury Chesapeake. This exciting program features a five-day camp for teen girls entering grades 6-12 that highlight team building activiti

es and feature guest speakers from non-traditional professions. This camp experience began in Tucson in 2009 and was successfully brought over to Hampton, VA two years ago. At Camp Fury Chesapeake, women firefighters, EMS providers, and police officers from across Hampton Roads will provide daily skill-building sessions and career information to participants outfitted in uniforms, turn-out gear, helmets and gloves. Activities will be held at various fire and police facilities throughout the City of Chesapeake.
