The Town of Cheshire has issued a proclamation officially recognizing Adult Education & Family Literacy Week in the Cheshire community!

A special thank you to Cheshire Town Council Chair Peter J. Talbot for this recognition and for supporting adult education. Adult education provides opportunities for individuals to learn English, earn a high school credential, prepare for a new career, strengthen their skills, and create new opportunities for themselves and their families.

Kindergarten students at Barnum School are celebrating International Dot Day this week by listening to the book, The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, and creating their own dot-inspired artwork.

Meet Patty! Mrs. Motes hand-knitted an adorable chicken for her first-grade classroom at Barnum School. Her students voted on its name and are thrilled to welcome Patty to their classroom.

We are looking forward to our tours of our new buildings this Thursday (4:30pm at Norton) and Friday (4pm at Barnum). Unfortunately, Colonel Barnum will not be able to attend Friday's event. We will still hold the open house and tours, but are pushing back the ribbon cutting ceremony until he is able to be in attendance.
