Thanks to the LSA Grant we received, our new Police Vehicle is here!

The 2026 model features improved external lighting to include a roof mounted light bar, and lighting along the perimeter. The vehicle lighting has a scene lighting mode, where everything can be turned to white to light up search areas in fields, etc. This new design improves patrol visibility throughout the township, while increasing the safety of citizens and emergency service providers the scene of car crashes, during traffic enforcement details, etc.

The 2nd police vehicle (also funded by an LSA grant) will be ready for pick up later this week.

The members of the West Pikeland Township Police Department send our thoughts and prayers to the family, friends and colleagues of Officer Yeager.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

The West Pikeland Township Police Department would like to remind visitors to the village to observe parking signs along Art School Road. We understand that parking is limited with the field next to the Art Studio being unavailable, however, there is ample parking at the library and township building.

This day serves as a national call to action for citizens to express their gratitude for the men and women who serve in various law enforcement capacities across the United States. It focuses on recognizing the public service and the difficult career paths chosen by those who uphold the law and maintain order in local communities.
