Girls on the Run is SO much fun!! SO proud of these girls who worked hard all year to build confidence, character, and perseverance. On Saturday, in the rain and cold, their hard work paid off as they took to the course and crushed their goals. Thank you to the coaches, 5K buddies, and everyone who supported them along the way!

May is MATH MONTH at Chester Academy! Second graders have been busy solving thinking tasks in collaborative groups where they work on problems that have many approaches to solving them. CA teachers, including the 2nd grade team, have been learning about engaging students with deep mathematical thinking as part of the book study group of Peter Liljedahl's "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics."

Goldilocks - innocent or guilty? 4th graders participated in a mock trial as part of an in-depth experiential learning unit on the justice system. In addition to presenting their cases to lawyers who came to visit CA, the cases were also made to parents and invited guests. Thank you to our 4th grade teachers for planning and facilitating this wonderful learning opportunity!

Integrated Arts Night - we had a wonderful time welcoming the community in for a celebration of arts! Congratulations to each student who showcased their hard work and learning in visual arts, music, health and wellness, STEAM classes, and more! THANK YOU to our incredibly dedicated team of Integrated Arts teachers who made this special night possible!

5th grade DARE graduation - congratulations to our 5th graders for successfully completing the DARE program with Officer Gacek and the Chester Police Department! Yesterday's celebration was a fun way to recognize what you have learned about making good, healthy choices. Thank you, Officer Gacek, for all you do to support out students and help them grow!

Elementary Enrichment - we love providing students with engaging opportunities to keep learning, growing, and having fun, even after school hours! Thank you to all of the teachers and staff who designed and facilitated enrichments sessions this year!

Today is Chester Town Election Day, which means adults can get out and vote!

Our Chester Academy 2nd graders take their voting seriously. After reviewing the contestants for "Chester's Top Dog", students made persuasive arguments for their top choice, and then submitted their ballots. This year’s winner will be announced at town meeting (Thursday, May 14).

Congratulations to our chorus students, Gemma, Magdalena, and Madeline, and band students, Bradley and Lucas, for representing Chester Academy well at the NH Music Educators' Association Festival! We're so proud of you all!
