Congratulations to the CA Class of 2022, aka the graduating high school class of 2026! We had an incredible time reuniting with our former CA students this morning at our Senior Sendoff Breakfast! We are so proud and honored to join in celebrating their success! Best of luck in all that lies ahead, and remember, once a CA Cougar, always a CA Cougar! Congratulations!

Grade 1 Students Explore Birds Through Hands-On Learning at CA!

Thanks to funding from the We NHEED to Get Outside Grant, our Grade 1 students recently enjoyed two exciting bird-focused learning experiences connected to the EL Education Birds Units.

Students participated in a guided beginning birding walk led by educators from New Hampshire Audubon on the Gladys Nichols Trail on March 27th, where they learned how to observe birds in their natural habitats and practice the skills of young scientists. The experience helped students connect classroom learning to the outdoors on campus grounds while developing their observation and inquiry skills.

Students concluded the units by welcoming Tailwinds Environmental Education on June 5th to our school for an engaging presentation about what makes a bird a bird. During the visit, students had the opportunity to see several live birds up close, including a screech owl, a barred owl, and a turkey vulture. Through this hands-on experience, students learned about bird adaptations, habitats, and behaviors while deepening their appreciation for wildlife.

These memorable experiences enriched students’ understanding of birds and brought their classroom studies to life in meaningful ways.

We are grateful to the We NHEED to Get Outside Grant and NHEE for making these outdoor and environmental learning opportunities possible for our students.

Field Day, Part 1 - students had a blast during the morning events in the first ever CA Battle of the Colors! With 8th grade captains guiding each elementary class, students participated in a variety of fun activities from cone flipping to the plunger relay. Each class cheered for itself and for others as team work, collaboration, and good sportsmanship were on display all around. Thank you to all the volunteers who came in to help and / or donated watermelon. We're having SO much fun!

Show your PAWS Pride on Tuesday, June 9th to support our Baseball Team and Track & Field Athletes as they head to the championships! Baseball hosts Sanborn at home with a 3:30 PM game time, while track athletes who qualified for events will head to the Meet of Champions to compete. Best of luck! Go, Cougars!
