Don’t miss Chester Community Coalition’s 5th annual Wear Orange Peace Walk & Block Party this weekend!

Make sure to wear orange and join in the walk for peace. After the walk, enjoy a block party that will include music, food, games, prizes, and giveaways.

Are you looking for a space to host your event? CHA has two community centers available for event rentals for residents and non-residents.

The Ruth L. Bennett Community Center includes 8 tables, 40 chairs, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. It can host up to 40 guests. The rental fee for CHA residents is $300 and the fee for non-residents is $400.

The Booker T. Washington Community Center includes 14 tables, 50 chairs, 4 bathrooms, and a kitchen. It can host up to 50 guests. The rental fee for CHA residents is $400 and the fee for non-residents is $500.

The Ruth Bennett Community Farm will have a FREE produce box distribution this Thursday, May 28th from 1 to 3 p.m.

You can stop by the farm to pick up a free box filled with a variety of leafy greens, fruit, summer vegetables, herbs, root crops, and eggs.

CHA is partnering with the Delaware County Health Department to provide a FREE Stop the Bleed Training on Wednesday, May 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This training will teach you how to recognize and respond to severe bleeding emergencies. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn life-saving skills for free.

To attend this training, you must register. To register, call the health department’s Wellness Line at 484-276-2100.

Date & Time: Wednesday, May 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Location: Booker T. Washington at 611 Central Ave in Chester, PA
