Chester Volunteer Fire Department Update

We’re proud to announce that the new addition to our fire station is officially complete. What started as a vision to expand our department has become a reality thanks to countless hours of hard work from our volunteers and the incredible support from our community.

The only thing left to wrap up is painting the older portion of the station so everything ties together — but the expansion itself is finished.

Thank you to everyone who donated, supported our fundraisers, and helped us along the way. Your support has made a lasting impact on Chester VFD and our ability to serve Chester and the surrounding communities. We’re excited for what’s ahead. 🚒

🔥 Burn Ban Lifted – Tyler County 🔥

Good news — the burn ban in Tyler County has officially been lifted.

If you plan on burning, just use good judgment and stay safe:

• Keep fires attended at all times
• Have water or equipment nearby
• Be mindful of wind and surroundings
• Only burn when conditions are safe

Even though the ban is lifted, it doesn’t take much for a fire to get out of hand.

If anything gets away from you, call 911 immediately

After evaluating the amount of rain that the County as a whole received this past weekend, it has been decided to continue the BURN BAN for the County due to dry conditions. We hope that expected rain this week will help decrease the dry conditions for our County.
